scrubbing rock

    hello everybody,i am at the point with my algae problem that i have to scrubb my rocks,the only problem is that i have an aptasia problem as well.i have bought peppermint shrimp,but they are just a snack for my royal dottyback.i have bought snails for the algae problem but they dont touch it.oh and my lawnmower blenny eats mysis shrimp and only mysis shrimp.So my qestion is how do i scrub my rocks with the aptasia on them and not have them spread any worse than what they are.Thanks for any help Joe

    need more info what type of filtration do you have skimmer or no skimmer what are your water parameters

    Mix up three five gallon buckets of SW. Two for brushing and one for rinsing. Get a toothbrush and just give the rocks a once-over. Dip in dirty water. Then dip in clean water. Put back in tank. That's all you really need to do. You will lose a little bacteria, but not enough to make a huge difference.

    thank you pharmrjon,what about the aptasia will seed the rest of the rock in the other rinse tanks.Thanks Again Joe
