If I use the air diffuser method, do I remove the valve from the pump in the tank? Second, what size air pump should I get to work with the Seaclone 150??
Third, how can I reduce the amount of bubbles that make it back into the tank?

You want to leave the airtube on the pump for added bubbles.you want them both running bubbles to increase the bubble output. I bought a cheap elite 801 but you could go allot bigger. I use mine in the sump and the out take goes through carbon which eliminates the air bubbles.
you could try a filter sock on the end of the out take.

are you using an air diffuser (wooden), or a air air stone?
