No problem. The photo was actually someone else's tank. The guy(in shadow box thread) had a picture of it as the example of what he wanted to replicate.

Yeah, I love the look of that one. I am going to try to finish up early in art class so I can have a week to use the airbush at school. The gradient should be easy. But the island is going to be difficult to make look realistic.

That tank looks awesome. Maybe I should take up landscaping. Build a small pond with a lil running water?

So I have been thinking about what I will do for the plumbing, and like much of this build, I have decided to change things around.

I will go with the BeanAnimal design overflow. That is 2 OF lines + 1 emergency line. I will make an OF box, rather than getting one from Glass-holes. The OF box will go the full height of the tank with the footprint being something like, 6" long X 1.5"-2" wide.

I would like to airbush the OF box to match the gradient aquarium background so it won't be so noticeable. Will that be OK?

The return line will now be drilled in the left corner of the tank rather than in the middle, like I had planned before.

Here's the deal on the sump.

It is still very dirty - from "scum" on the inside of the tank. I cleaned it out and soaked with vinegar bath several times after I got the sump a year ago. I personally have never used it.

Can I use it like that? Aside from the salt(which will be wiped off) the rest is all dry. :(

I will probably need to re-seal the entire tank. Oh, the joy...

Yes, that is scotch tape, "fixing" the seem...(below)

I plan to. Any thoughts on the "scum" build-up?
