I know John said it will work, but isn't very efficient. He suggested a PM, Coralvue or NextReef reactor. He mentioned that a PhosBan reactor would work, but again, not as good as others. I have no experience with them, and thought he was just describing quality of reactor vs. how well the EcoBak works in each. I don't know though.

lol. I saw those on the EcoBAK thread. Nice, but all of the names he mentioned are quite expensive. PhosBan isn't bad.

    Thanks.

Hey man. Nice looking build. Personally I would definitely be using a fuge. It is such a help. The added water volume and stability are awesome. I dont want a tank without one anymore. You could even section off your sump and make a fuge in there as well. No need to plumb in a different tank then. I would go for the 135mu unit by Boost. They are great. Awesome quality. I have two boost par30 bulbs as well over my 14 gallon biocube and they are incredible. The blues and greens positively glow, contrary to what you said. I do have a slightly more blue tone though... Maybe slightly above a 14k in comparison to a halide bulb. Good growth has been showing all around as well. I get my boost 135mu fixture in a day or two now. Ill let you know what I think of it as soon as I get it. (Im sure Ill just be telling you how much I love it though. haha)

Thanks. The comment about lacking blues and greens was actually specifically what I had noticed(from looking at 3reefers' corals) with Cree LEDs (only Cree), while Crees have shown excellent growth rates.

If I get Boost LED par 30s then I will get 3 of the 4B/1W, 40* optics bulbs. Then I wanted to use this pendant fixture with this lamp shade. This would come to about $300, total. For moon lights I would get the lunar simulator for the Apex Jr.

I had thought about 2 of the Kessil A150Ws. These will cost quite a bit more(about $530 total) than the boost LEDs, though I think they are 30w each? So that would actually be the same total wattage as the Boost bulbs. For this I would be using the Lunar Sim. as well.

The third option was to get the Mu Series 135w fixture for $399

Didnt mean to sound snotty there. Lol Just saying my observations with my Boost fixture. I have actually heard the same with certain CREEs but I guess that really all depends on what the kelvin rating is at. But that combination of the lights and shade will be awesome! I cant wait to see that set up.

I didn't think it sounded 'snotty' at all. I was just responded for what it was. :)

    Thanks!

P.S. - If I add a fuge into that 10g sump(already has the skimmer and internal return) it would be maybe 1 gallon. lol.

I thought it would be cool to add some shots of the tank with the room lights off. Here you go, everyone. :)

Thanks; I don't have any livestock yet. I have quite a bit to do before I want
    to add fish/inverts.

    To Do List:
    1. Get lumber to build new aquarium cabinet
    2. Build new aquarium cabinet
    3. Switch out cabinet for new one
    4. Silicone baffle in sump
    5. Move skimmer to sump / plumb sump into DT
    6. Re-aquascape
    7. Get CUC from Reef Cleaners

    Then I can add livestock.

    8. Set up ATO system
    9. Install lights
    10. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show :)
