setting up 40x17x17inch sump

    hey all, today i went for a drive to pickup a sump, it is 40x17x17inch, im just wondering for marine what is the best filteration materials to use? im thinking about 4 liters of matrix in one section, wool and poly fiber in another....what else should i have in the remaining 2 areas?
    i have 4 sections for filter material....here is a pic of it:

    Is this for a reef? Fish only? FOWLR?

    It's actually very common to not have any filtration in the sump in reef tanks, just a skimmer. Some people use filter socks for mechanical filtration but you have to maintain them regularly or they can become nutrient traps.
    All your biological filtration will come from the rock so if you have enough rock you don't need anything else, just the skimmer to remove organics.

    1st chamber a filter sock or 2, the other 3 I would fill up with live rock rubble.

    filter sock is all id use ans the skimmer in 1 of the other chambers with the heater
