Shamu lost his mind

A whale trainer at Sea World-Orlando was attacked and killed.

WOW that's my local seaworld, i used to see the shamu show all the time as a kid, that's crazy!

 

looks like Tilly the whale was the culprit, sounded pretty horrendous as it was in front of an audience. Just goes to show you that no matter how trained they can become, animals are all still naturally wild.

 

lol And this is why we dont have pet whales .

 

Very sad. It is a good reminder that animals are still animals, no matter how domesticated they seem. Always need to be careful.

to be completely honest i kinda laughed at that. ( not from the death) but from the stupidity of people.

it doesnt surprise me at all and in fact im almost directed to say they deserved it, but as it is a human life im kinda restrained.. but its just.. ugh....

it makes me really mad on how they treat the whales like puppets.. i could understand keeping a whale getting in captivity but i absolutely repudiate the idea of treating them the way they do for human entertainment. It might sound a little hypocrite since we keep fish for our entertainment but the way they use the whales is unacceptable.

ugh.. well.. thats my opinion..

Kind of makes you wonder if the whale was scared because of the thunderstorms in Florida or if it was scared of the trainer.... always wonder what goes through the minds of animals

 

And that's why they call them killer whales
