    Oh, yeah. I do feed a TON. That's probably the only reason I have never had that issue.

    No slime. Just some yellow pee water. I'm not saying that it's a bad skimmer. Just not the skimmer for my tank. One thing it was advertised to do was surface skim. Which in my tank it never did do. Also it is just way to big for my tank. Maybe if I had it before adding LR. Who knows?

    Update: Still skimmerless and all is well. Almost $200 I spent on skimmers, believing I just HAD to have one for my tank. Wish I had that money now :) Still doing bi-weekly 25% WC, which is fine with me.

    Good choice, i've been skimmerless on my biocube14 for 2 years :p i do about a 14oz water change a day, and im keeping mostly sps and a clam.

    I've been skimmerless on my 29 since it's been set up (6 months) w/ no problems at all, just 20% bi-weekly water changes :)
