My tank currently has the following corals.

    xenia
    blue clover
    sympodium
    briarium
    green star polyp
    mean green zoa
    whammin watermelon zoa
    fire and ice zoa

I was at my lfs picking up the fire and ice today. He mentioned about using marine snow to feed my corals. Just wondering what your thoughts are?

They will grow faster if you feed but it is definitely not needed.Just keep in mind adding any kind of food to the tank could effect water quality.;)

You could just adjust your maintenance accordingly.;)I suggest target feeding preferably after lights out.

How would you suggest I adjust my maintenance. I currently change my filter socks every two days, weekly 10% water changes and test my water every other day. Target feed with the marine snow or other nutrients? This is somewhat new to me so I apologize for all the questions.

No worries questions are my specialty.LOL You want to get a small syringe and fill it with the Reef Snow.GENTLY blow it directly at your corals. If you have Zoas you can do it any time as long as they are open. Some corals mostly LPS extend feeding sweepers at night so its best to feed those corals after lights out.Adding food to the tank means more nutrients; as long as you keep up with your WC's and any other form of nutrient export (carbon,GFO,ETC.) you should be fine just make sure you keep an eye on your Phosphates and Nitrates.

I got a few of these from my local CVS. Would these work to spot feed? Would it be best to feed with all pumps off? I am running a protein skimmer, refugium, and reactor running carbon and gfo.

I am a huge advocate of feeding my 180 gallon SPS/LPS reef. I target feed my LPS corals thawed and rinsed frozen mysis or New Era Marine Pellets 1x/week in the evenings when my main lights are off and the tentacles come out. I keep all my SPS corals well fed 1x per week alternating with Tropic Marin Pro-Coral Phyton and TM Pro-Coral Zooton.
