i was just browsing around looking for pics of cool zoas and found a few and i thought it would be interesting to start a thread just for everyone to post pics of their zoas cause lets face it who dosent like to look at some good zoa pics. so i guess since im the one starting the thread i should post my zoa pics. some of these pics are diffrent frags of the same zoa that i thought deserved their own pics that being said lets begin.

I've never fragged anything, and don't intend to start with zoas...I'd probably get palytoxin in my eye or something LOL.

Actually, none are really at the point where I want to get rid of any...this is a softy tank (mostly) & I can't wait till entire rocks are covered completely! We're working on a 140, so my first fragging ventures will be to transfer some over. This is all a year's growth, so I'm hoping by this time next year they'll be covered. Maybe next year? ;D

just got him yesterday. Teal blue/blue/grey zoa

Got this one last weekend. Both of these are in seperate QT tanks, the first one has MH so lights are better, this one isnt as bright as in real life, just under pc lights.

I think this one is called Eye of Rah though i think it is hawaiian sunburst. It is a very bright white zoa with a bright orange center. Skirt is green

    sweet pics everybody

Jruberti you could always use it in a future episode ;)

zoo 4 life i love the zoas in your first pic they're very close to if not identical to the ones in my 6th pic and is that a kenya tree hanging upside down in your third pic? lol

sushigirl its never to early/late to start fragging and as far as palytoxin goes idk about everyone else but ive never had a problem with it ive probably fragged at least a hundred zoas in the past 5 years but i guess it could be because im usually carefull not to touch my face until after ive washed my hands but i have never taken any special precaution so im sure i was exposed at some point or another

swimswithfish i didnt know there was already a similar thread i guess i should have looked before i started it but oh well i wouldnt mind if a mod could merge them. but when i first read your comment i saw the stewie pic and in my head as i read it it was stewie going "come on man, theres already a show us your zoas thread" roflol

schackmel the zoas in that first pic are cool i like the pattern on them and the orange in the second pic is awesome ive never seen anything like either of them good finds

has anyone ever seen some bright almost like electric blue zoas? ive googled it and i found some called tubs blue zoanthids and african blue hornets but ive never seen any in a lfs or on any of the coral sites i frequent so they are apparently super rare i guess ill have to find a fellow member who has a few extra they wouldnt mind trading for
