Went traveling for 3weeks and left my beloved tank in my neighbours hands, everything seems fine except that my frogspawn seems to have shrunk by half its size. The only thing I can identify that might be different is the Alk was slightly below 7. I've since been slowly raising it up. All other parameters are with in normal levels. Anybody have any ideas or suggestions?

    Thank you

How Long Have You Had The Tank, How Long Have You Had The Frogspawn, And What Do You Feed Your Frogspawn?

The tank is 16months old, and the frogspawn is 4-5 months old. I feed it and all other corals a mix of phytoplankton, cyclopeze, and sometimes p.e. mysis shrimp.

One Thing I Can Think Of Is Sometimes It Does Take Soft Corals A Little Time Too Adjust To Parameter Changes MoreSo Than Other Corals. If It Has Been Healthy And The Only Thing Your Doing Is Raising Your Alk, It Just May Take A Little While For Him To Open Back Up.

Any change in the lighting schedule while you were gone?

It hasn't been oozing anything. It's just all retracted like it would during the night, it simply isn't opening up during the day.
Lighting hasn't changed, everything is on automated LED set up.

Sometimes mine will do this for a day or two. But they always open after a couple of days. Frogspawn's are weird that way. If it has been longer maybe check flow? If its too strong this can keep them from opening. If they are still staying closed for more than 3 to 4 days something is bothering them.

I've been back for a week now and it continues to shrink, nothing has changed( flow or light) since I purchased it 5 months ago. I'm just very puzzled.
