Shriveled Acans

So my acans have shriveled today and they look like they are on their way out..... i have no clue what happened... yesterday night they looked great full and healthy. I just tested some basics:

NO2:0
NO3:0
NH3:0
pH: 7.8-8.0
temp: 78-80

anyone? on a side note i think something is eating all my zoas....

 

Are they just shriveled or do they look like they are dying? My acans shrivel up every now and then, then come back after a few hours. Have you done anything differently lately?

 

what about the others? ca, alk, mg, po4? all you have to lighting is a single 150mh? 20ks want to much for growth..how deep is it and how old are the bulb(s)

bulbs are 8 months old 2 X 150

std 90 gal so 18"

 

you dont have test kits for alk and mg? i havent run halides for years but arent the bulbs to be changed every 6 months? do u have a pic of the coral? done a water change latley? do you dose for n e thing?

 

halides are good for a year. no. i have seen a a frog spawn frag look like this before it went out...and i have had this frag for about a month now.

 

when did you lose the frogspawn? was it in the same spot that the acan is in? did you ever find out what killed the frogspawn or any ideas? how high or low is the acan in the tank? what other corals if ne are around it. how are ur other corals looking? are they growing?

 

looooong time ago like 5 months ago. not the same spot. no i assumed crappy acclimation. no other corals around it. its 3/4 of the way down. everything else is great. my current frogspawn, pocillaporas are ok, goniopora is great.

 

what about ur candy cane? what does ok mean? you cant get a pic of what ur coral looks like. a pic would help for sure.

 

oh ya thats great too. sometimes that shrivels up and by ok i mean growing an openning nicely daily. cant its night time in the tank.
