Hello all, great site. After researching the Internet, I couldn't find the answer to my question so I'll post it here. I recently bought a DF Puffer and just noticed white dots found in patches around its body. They look too regularly spaced out to be ick, but I never had a scaleless fish before so I wouldn't know what ick would look like. Hopefully it's nothing serious. Thanks in advance for your help.

    DF Puffer Update

Something crazy happend last night when I was cleaning the tank. As I was vacuuming the gravel, the puffer decides to bite my hand. Not hard but enough to hold on. So, naturally I freaked out and pulled my hand out and with it came the puffer, onto the floor. He puffed up with air which I read could be a problem so when I put him back in the tank the air he swallowed kept him afloat as he kept trying to swim back down...poor fish. So I gentle squeezed the air out and it seemed like he knew what I was doing and wasn't fighting as I held him. The spots are gone as they are texture of his skin. Man, what a cool fish...
