So I have recently purchased 6 zoanthid frags off of eBay (mistake) and one was DOA. Another seems to be dying as well (appears they were crushed in transit). It has like 25-30 polyps but about four of them are white with a film over them and they are becoming transparent. Should I leave the frag in the tank? Will these sick polypls kill the rest of the frag (which is healthy and open)? Should I remove the dying polyps or just let nature run it's course? What do you guys think?

I would leave it alone and see what happens in the next 3 days or so. They will probably just kinda melt away. I try to avoid fragging/slicing zoa's when at all possible. The possibility of toxins is kinda scary. If you do decide to cut it off, wear gloves and glasses.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
If you have any dips like CoralRx or equiv I would dip them. It usually does not help if they were freshly fragged but it may help if they succumbed to a fungal or bacterial infection secondary to stress from shipping.

Welcome to 3reef and good luck.

I'd leave them be, I've had some completely smashed by a rock knocked over and i have no idea how long that rock had been there cause I was on vacation but they came out of it and look like nothing happened

Great, thanks. I'll leave them be for now and see what happens. I was just expecting them to dissolve but wasn't sure if it would spread. Also would the toxins be released from the decaying polyps? If so would it affect my other corals and fish?

I recently had a calcium problem(too high) but during the time where i was oblivious to what was going on, my zoas closed up and put a film around them. I thought they were "shedding" and even made a post about it but in the end it seemed to be a sort of defense mechanism for survival. but in order to help them out, i took a 1ml pipette and blasted water over them and the film eventually came off, they have finally opened back up and look as if nothing happened.
Wish you the best of luck.

    Update

ok it seems to be spreading. Well it seemed to spread but seems to have stopped. But the ones that are affected seem to be dissolving now! I dont have any dip yet! should I still leave them alone? Will it stop spreading? The other polyps seem totally fine. Sorry bout the pic, crappy ipad camera...
