I just bought aquarium silicone (not thinking) and i was wondering if i could use it to glue a piece of acrylic or whatever i choose onto the side of my filter section to make a media rack. Is it adhesive? sorry for the stupid questions. If i can not use it, what should i use?

It wont hold acrylic, it doesn't adhere to it. depending on the design and materials used it could work though.

    good luck

Hard to say really. I used GE silicone 1 to hold acrylic baffles in an acrylic sump.

Supposedly silicone won't hold to acrylic, but it worked for me for several years.
