Six line wrasse problem

    He seems to be picking on one of my corals and I can't net him to get him out...with all the rock in the tank it's impossible to catch him...I thought these wrasses were reff safe

    He's not picking on the coral, he's picking something off the coral.

    What type of coral? It has something on it you either can't see or haven't noticed...

    He is ripping the arms off my green gionapia .sorry about the spelling ..I seen him do it and the coral tries to open and when it's almost there he bites it and they go back in .i actually saw hem rip off a flower

    Very unusual, 6 lines normally dont touch coral, however I had a file fish eat a acan colony.

    do you think a sixline is a good wrasse for a frag tank? all i have in there now is a kole tang and looking to add a friend/co-worker

    I ended up getting rid of my six line because he was too aggressive. They are a common fish to see in fish stores, and therefore a common fish to see in reef tanks.

    If you want my personal opinion, I would skip the Six-Line altogether if possible.

    As far as trying to capture the little guy, you can use a fish trap.

    Google 2 liter fish trap. It's pretty simple to do, just takes some patience.

    Imo i feel i am stumped a six liner eating coral imo is extremely rare are you feeding your fish, if he is eating coral he must be starving imo feed him, as far as them being aggressive imo what do yoy expct they hunt the bristles. Imo again just imo
