Ok so I bought a 6 line for my 29 gallon. It has been in there over a week and when I'm not near the tank he swims around fine, but soon as I walk up to the tank he starts hiding in my rocks. Is it scared? Typically how long does it take for a fish to feel comfortable? I only have 2 oc clowns in there with it and I haven't seen any harassment, they seem to get along fine.

That is normal for them wrasse, it may never change. You will need to just park yourself in front of the tank to give it a chance to get used to you.

it depends on the fish. Six lines in my experience can have a lot of different personality in individual fish. Some times it takes 3-5 weeks for a fish to settle in for me, but most six lines are a little faster than that, I would give him another week before I stated to think I was stressing it.
