So today I bought a sixline wrasse, The only fish I have in my 75g is 1 clown, 1 blue damsel. When I first got my clown awhile back, my damsel would harrass him for the irst couple of days then eventually left him alone, and they lived peaceful ever since. Well today when I added my sixline, he kinda stayed over by my clown which pretty much didnt even acknowledge he was there, but when my damsel noticed hes been chasing him around ever since. You guys think there will end up being a problem?? Ive tried to remove the damsel numerous times. Just cant catch him. Im hoping in a couple days everything will be back to normal:-/

6-lines can be pretty aggressive themselves. Give him a little time to see if the others accept him. In looking at your inhabitants though, you have some pretty agressive little fish in there. Clowns are in the damsel family and can be just as mean.

Keep an eye on things and be ready to get one of them out....be it the damsel, clown or 6 line. The other thing I have noticed with my tank is that it's sometimes not about the fish bioload and whether a tank is over/under stocked....it seems to hit a balance and anything added after that becomes a problem. Probably why I havent added any new livestock in 6 months....things seem to be going really well and I don't want to upset the balance.

Agreed! I had a sixline a while back that attacked anything i put in my tank (fishes). Damsels are also Very aggresive. I would remove it either way and take it to LFS. They may come around though. Good luck

Give it a few days. The damsel is just letting the sixline know where its territory is and that it is the dominant fish.

heck my clown shows my 2 green chromos who is boss
now the funny one is my 2 fire gobies.....they also do not put up with crap from the chromos
so the chromos live in the upper water column and the fires and clown own the LR.
now the funniest part is i added a small yellow tang and a small blue tang at the same time....they hang with the clown and he lets them until it is nighty nite time..then he kicks them out..

As long as they are not "Attacking" the six lines....everyone will find there own space (domain)....give them a week unless you see them actually attacking and trying to harm the six line....then the choice is yours....either the damsel or the six line will need to leave...

10 bucks all will be good... :)
