sixline wrasse disappeared?

anyone else ever have their sixline disappear for a couple days? I didnt see him today and decided to feed the tank. Well he didnt come out to feed either. So i hope he is just resting or something. I checked all around the tank, and i dont think he bailed out of the top? Although my chow could have ate him up, but he is normally scared of flies so........ I checked the back chambers and cant find him there either. Anybody else experience this?:

 

my salon fairy wrasse hid in a rock cave for the first day i got him. hasnt done it since, but thats not to say that it wont do it again. i dunno, hope its ok.

 

how good is your cleanup crew? Could be that he's completely gone now.

 

Yeah, if I lose a fish and don't actually see it happen there is NO evidence at all.... I do hope he is just chillin somewhere though, does anyone know if sixline bury like some other wrasse?

 

Wrasses are amazingly good hiders. I wouldn't worry about it too much - but if you don't see him for several days, something may have happened to him. I hope he's just playing with you!

 

I had a 6 line disappear, only to find it like 9 months later when I tore my tank down behind the tank (so apparently it jumped). it still retained the form and I can still make out the lines though color is almost black when I found it. I liked the 6 line so I got a new one for my new tank.

 

Mine used to bury in the substrate but one day he made "the big jump" and the chihuahua got em'. I have had a blenny get slurped up through the overflow and ended up in the sump. Check your prefilters and overflow.

 

I had a little 6-line and it would cruise the tank all day. One day I couldn't find it, but then realized my crabs were having a group meeting over its skeleton

 

mine got chased out of the tank my a damn-sel.
