i have a euroreef cs 8-3 RC on my current 150 gallon tank qwith 55 gallon refugium (filled to the top with water) and a 20 gallon sump (3/4 full), and i am upgrading to a 215 gallon tank, with a 90 gallon sump, prob. gunna be half full or so. will my current skimmer be ok? or will an octopus extreme 250 be better. some one local has one he bought 3 weeks ago and is selling this entire set up becuase he needs to get out for finanes or something idk, reguardless what would u go with?

Whatever you do, don't get the Red sea C-Skim 1200. Its a big POS! I'd go with the octopus IMO.

I'm not an expert on skimmers but I think the 8-3 you have now would work on a 210. It wouldn't hurt to go bigger though. The 8-3 is a really good skimmer. I only have a 6-2 on my 150 and it works flawlessly

yeah teh 8-3 is an excellent skimmer, but i think the other one is bigger and queiter, the pump on the one i have now (the 8-3) has not been properly functioning lately so i think its just better to get another skimmer and sell my euroreef
