skimmer help pleeasssee

so i just bought a nice euro reef cs6-1 and it has a nice large body but it came with a broken sedra 3500 and a mag 3 pump...the guy had it workign with the mag 3 but i feel like the mag 3 isnt making micro bubbles much larger.. what should i do? what pump can i buy ? i hear the sedra 5000 is nice but sedra's always break.. i need a cheap fix

 

could do a mesh on needle wheel mod on the Mag's impeller, that will make micro bubbles.

 

im scared to hack at the impeller and not get good results

hmm very true but do you think the mag 3 pulls enough water?

 

it should, the same as the stock sedra.

 

im going to see if i can hack up a mesh wheel im just not happy with how these bubbles look, i havent tested it in tank water though, just in my tub

 

with fresh water?? properties of SW are different, that may be the issue with bubble size.

 

yeah o show what imagined that with SW there would be a difference but i guess i will have to wait and see
