So i have been going to my LFS and have a question about a skimmer. anyone use a Berlin X2 skimmer. They use the skimmer on quite of a few of their setups and it seem to be doing work. was wondering what you all thought about it. it has the option hang on the back of the aquarium or in the sump. i am currently going to start a DIY sump (30g tank) i figure i am probably going to end up putting it in the sump but hey if i can hang it on the back of the tank, it would make more room for a bigger Refuge. thx for taking your time to asnwer my questions.

    Cheers

not the best skimmer out there today. might as well go with a much better skimmer (octopus extreme etc.)

Unless I'm looking at the wrong Aqua C, the Octopus is $100 more. That's a lot of money! I'm fairly new but from what I've read, you should:
    1. buy the best lighting you can
    2. buy a reasonable skimmer
    3. buy a reasonable filter
    That's my plan.

In MY opinion, there is no better value out there than the ASM G-Series skimmers!
