Hey I have a Odyessa ps75 skimmer which I have been running for a about a week now and at fist I was pretty pleased with the results it was producing good skimmate and not leaking too many micro bubbles. I had to constantly adjust it. It stopped producing much skimate so I figured ok raise the water level in skimmer.

However now as I go to increase the water level in the skimmer so the micro bubbles will be high enough to actually hit the collection cup the pump starts shooting out micro bubbles out the the nozzle right before the pipe to the skimmer. And its alot of micro bubbles all over the tank.

I have no experience with skimmers and I am wondering if I can plug up this nozzle, I put my finger over it and it stopped. Also did I even set up the intake correctly? I have the air intake on one of the holes and the other 3 are open. I am running it HOB on my tank. If I take off the return sponge the thing dumps micro bubbles into the tank the bubbles reach all the way to the bottom and go up the return tube.

I have attached images of everything I explained, The nozzle shooting out micro bubbles, how I have the intake setup, and the micro bubles flooding the bottom of the skimmer and going out the return

I have one of these skimmers. Is the rubber cap in place where the bubbles are coming out?You say it stops if you put your finger on it.If there is no cap on the nipple, thats your trouble.Did the cap blow off in the tank?

I don't have a nipple of that nozzle in picture one, I can't recall it ever having one. the skimmer did come with some black stoppers which I will try to fit in there. As you know it came with no instructions and being my first skimmer I'm not too informed.

Do you have any other tips for operating this skimmer? It would be much appreciated.

I read online about a mod involving placing a piece of plastic near the intake of the large tube which breaks the water up more creating a better vortex so that all the micro bubbles don't flow to the bottom
