skimmer stress out fish

    i got my BH-300F skimmer running and it seemed to stress my blue hippo tang so i had to shut it off.....what can i do to fix this? there was too many micro bubbles please help

    i put a 200 micron filter sock on my skimmer output and BAM!!! no micro bubbles. you might try that, as i wouldn't suggest no skimming. good luck!

    Well, from any hippo I have had they are all skittish especially with new things. I am not familiar with the octo skim, but it seems you have it running to high. If you can turn it down, or put a sock on it until it breaks in. skimmers are something that need tuned reguarly.

    ow do you turn it down? and do i need to get a special sock to put in the outflow tube or can i just get any 200 micron sock?
