Coralife Super Skimmer Needle Wheel I have a 125 gallon tank it will be a reef with lots of inverts and only 6 fish my question is get the one for the 125 or the for 220 gallon.

A slightly larger rated skimmer is recommended. You need to account for water not only in the display tank, but if you're using a sump and/or refugium as well. Secondly, if funding permits, I would suggest an alternate brand.

I think most people here will tell you to skip the Coralife, and go with a better skimmer. If you are intending on keeping a reef, you'll want a good to excellent skimmer. Fact is, you'll probably end up buying the Coralife, and then buying another skimmer 3-6 months later when the Coralife just isnt doing it for ya.

Oh, and as for size, aim for a rating of 125% your tank volume. So if you have a 120 gal, try to get one rated for 150 gallons. Especially with a reef.

its gonna be tough to find a hob for that size tank..

maybe you can get two hob skimmers..i cant remember the brand, but they just came with some that dont require having the pumps in the tank taking up space and making your tank look cleaner...

coralife has alot of bad reviews

look at a some, find your price range, and then start googling reviews, anytime i buy anything i type whatever im getting into google, and start reading different forums..
