New to 3reef and had some questions about protine skimmers. I just bought a ocotpus BH-1000 and cant keep the micro bubbles out of the tank, no matter what I do. 2 sponges came with the skimmer and I have tried it all kinds of way....

I wish I could tell you, I have a coral life super skimer. I tried everything. I finally gave up took it out of the sump, and hung it over the side with the return directed into the overflow. Come on I know their is some one out there who can help!

A pic of the skimmer and how you have it set up would help considerably.

How long have you been running it? Most skimmers will stop producing so many bubbles after break-in.
