My sleeper gobie appears to be acting normally and sifting away but she looks to be a lot thinner than even a cople of weeks ago. Is it possible that she has exhausted her fod supply in the nano? :-/

Very likely. In a tank that small, they will quickly run out of food in the sand. Is it eating frozen foods?

I have not seen her go after any of the food introduced to the tank. Either mysis or arctipods.

Ok, there is a trick I've heard of but never tried it myself as I'm afraid of the algae outbreak it might produce. You can use a turkey baster or something similar and inject frozen foods into the sand bed near the surface around it's burrow. Then as it sifts the sand around there, it will pick up the food. Personally, I would take the goby out as a sand sifting goby will eventually outgrow and starve in an 8 gal.
