well as some of you know i introduced a Royal Gramma about a month ago, beautiful fish and has been a great addition!made herself right at home, too at home actually. she is starting to bully the Smith's Blenny a bit, and even the mantis shrimp (Davy) that resides in the tank as well. Although no damage has yet been done, i was curious if there was a good contender to add to help keep the Gramma in check, as well as add a final fish to the tank. my first two thoughts were a 6 line wrasse or a dwarf angel of some type (cherub or coral beauty was the initial thought) any input is greatly appreciated!!
it is techniquely a mixed reef, but i truly love dwarf angels and am willing to roll the dice on one if it seems to be a good idea
    Thanks in advance folks;D

They are very territorial fish. It more like everyone else is crossing her imaginer line, then her being a bully. Sorry to say there is really nothing you can do, if you move stuff around once she settles back in the line will goes back up.

6 lines are great fish with LOTS of personality. but they are habitual line stepper when it comes to the Gramma, so the gramma will ALWAYS be running the 6line off. . 6 line will turn aggressive after a while thou.

As for the Angels goes, do you have any Corals in your tank?

First off, much appreciated for the response;D
i may rearrange regardless, to try and get her to draw her lines in another place (rather than smackdab in the middle!) i love the personality of the 6line, and would secure the top, i was kind of hoping the 6line would keep the Gramma busy, in a sense, leaving Davy alone.
I was leaning more towards the wrasse due to the fact the angel would likely nip at my LPS (mainly my acans) which is not particularly desired...a damsel or clown be a better option? or should i just see if the rescape works, an attempt to persuade her to adjust her lines:p
    much appreciated again!

Give the rescape a try, nothing to lose :). But also keep in mind you run the chance of davy relocating too.

As for Clown vs Damsel, IMO I would go for the clown over a damsel any day. Damsel are like reverse sour patch kid, they start of sweet then turn into monsters that bully’s any and everything in your tank.

But, 6line vs clown IMO I would go for the 6line just for the personality.

FWIW clowns are a subspecies of damsels, so I wouldn't expect really big attitude differences. Plenty of threads about clowns that are bullies as well.

This is exactly how i feel! haha reverse sour patch kids, i mean i was dreading even the very thought of adding a common damsel, i love the personality of the 6 line and feel it would be better suited than the angel too, thanks for your input Rawdogz, much appreciated 8)

thanks for the input mox, im aware clowns are damsels, when i said damsels i was referring to common species found in LFS' (YT,Blue, Domino, etc...) and use clowns as a separate class because i would consider many options not just an Occy or Perc, try to keep it a little less confusing;D

i know they can certainly be nasty little buggers, but i think a fish that is equally as nasty as the Gramma would do her good. i am still going to rescape before i consider adding a third fish. thanks for the input ingtar;D
