This is How it Worked out.
    It Burned like Hell.[IMG]
    Stung Me 6 Times!
So if you ever feel the Need to Smack one here is what to do After the Fact
1-Scream Like Hell Use some Profanity!Make It Count!
2-While Screaming Run your to the nearest Hot Water Faucet and Run the Hottest water you can stand over the Punctured Area.Hot water helps Deactivate the Vemon.Venom Needs the cold water.
3-Stand there for 30-45 minutes, all the while Screaming in a whining sort of way and boderline scalding the already Burning from the Inside Wound.Remove When Burning is Tolerable.
4-For the next 24-48 Hours expect to feel the Vemon coursing through the body along with some Blisters and then lets add some Redness to Highlight the Swelling.

So Kids what have WE learned?
    1-DON'T SMACK THE LIONFISH
    2-DON'T SMACK THE LIONFISH
    3-DON'T SMACK THE LIONFISH

So in all seriousness This is what Posion Control will tell you to do.So now you Know.
If you have allergic Reactions to bee stings DO NOT own this fish if you phyiscally put your hand in your tank. Please Could be Deadly. No Fish is Worth Yor Life.

    Welcome to 3reef DreamBuilder.

Seems like the Lion fish has the last laugh. Those spines have got to be for something right?

Yes you are truly right, if an individual has allergies to bees it's probably not the wisest fish to keep.

The venom of bees and lionfish are not made up of the same components. That would be like saying if one was allergic to strawberries, they are going to be allergic to all fruit.

First aid for a lionfish sting is immersion of the affected area in hot water (114°F) for 20 up to 90 minutes, or until the pain subsides, in order to inactivate the thermolabile components of the venom. The reason for applying heat to the wound is because lionfish venom is composed of heat labile proteins, and the heat actually denatures the venom. But it needs to be that hot, much less and you won't get the same beneficial effects. Please, don't use scalding-hot water, as the resulting burn will likely do more damage than the venom. To ensure the proper temperature have a cooking thermometer on hand.

I had a lionfish for a long time. Any time i would put my hand in the tank it would come running. Scared the hell out of me the first couple times but he never stung me. He would actually rub against my hand and arm but never stung. Was a very cool fish.

Actually i managed to smack him up against the back of the tank.
I was removing the coralline from the back glass and the end of the scraper hit one of my corals and out of reflex i went to catch it and then there he was. It was my fault. I have always hand feed my lions and never have they ever shown any form of aggression towards me.
