I guess a small refugium is better than none. I have about a 30 gallon sump..180 G tank , but only about 11X16 inches for an area to build dividers. I would love to move the wall on the left over several inches, but I tried to mess with it a little and it's built like a tank.. so it's gonna have to stay where it is. I don't want to crack it. After I build the bubble trap, and other divider there's probably going to be about 8X16 area..
    Any dos and don'ts here?

Buy the way the skimmer could come out, but I would have to rearrange a lot of plumbing to make room... and it won't save that much room.

What about running a seperate fuge? You've probably thought about this but I figured I would throw it out.

A small fuge would indeed be better than none.

Yeah, I've browsed some small ones that hang on the back.. I don't think they would be any bigger probably smaller/same cubic inches. .. then to do one aside from the sump. I just don't know where I would put it. How big is your area for refugium?
