    Hello again,

    Well i just encountered a new smell in my room...its the smell of the ocean!...im not sure if this is good or bad ...never happened before...but if you had you eyes closed you would swear that you were on the beach...plz tell me this isnt bad :(

    I dont think it's a bad thing, you get the best air quality down by the ocean, no? The only thing I would worry would be the salt in the air?

    Do you run a skimmer and carbon? If you do run a skimmer, put a tablespoon of kalkwasser into the collection cup. It will neutralize the odor a bit. If you don't run carbon, you might want to start.

    Or put some activated carbon over the skimmers vent hole. At my office I run the intake hose for the becket into the collection cup.

    Winter usually helps draw the smell out as your house is closed up more often.

    i run a skimmer, its not a bad smell but its just new

    Yeah, I get that in the basement when I'm near the sump. Not bad, but like the ocean. It was stronger when the tank was cycling. Any algae outbreaks? Try cleaning the filter pad in your sump???

    actaully i did see a little green dust on the sand bed...hmmm maybe it was because i made a nice mound of sand to put my open brain lol...
