So i woke up this morning to find out that one of my nerites got stuck in the overflow tube and obstructed the water flow. I am having a hard time getting the snail out of the tube so meanwhile my refuge and sump are not getting any flow apart from the skimmer. Anyways my question is how long can the refuge and sump go without circulation? I don't want any of my livestock to die while i am trying to fix the overflow(by livestock i mean worms, pods, macro algae and any other little critters) Should i add a few powerheads in the meantime? Thanks for the help

I wouldn't let any of your pumps run dry.

I wouldn't worry about it and/or put a time-line on it. Unless, you are ordering parts online. And you are thinking a couple/few days.

You should have it out in atleast a couple/few hours right? If not a few minutes to an hour.

well it will probably take me about 15min to get him out but i am not sure about when i put it all back together because i don't want another nerite to get stuck. the snail is right under an inch in diameter

alright i got him out. Any suggestions on what to put over the intake so that this won't happen in the next couple of days before i get the parts in the mail? It is a diy pvc overflow.
