Ok I Have a freshwater tank I am going to change to saltwater soon,
My question is I have 2 snails in there now I was told there a saltwater snail but can live in freshwater. They are both covered in barnicles(which I can't beleave are still alive but are) But can I put these in saltwater? What saltwater snail will live in freshwater? What kind of snail are these? Will they die if I put them in saltwater? I have had them in my tank for about 8 months now.

I can get pictures tomorrow if there are needed, camera batteries are dead

are they THAT important?? i say take a risk, snails are only like 2 bucks each at Petco. Mine just died today and i'm just thankful they didn't screw up my tank too bad. just a little Phosphates and nitrates added, I heart my Amquel.

Post a pic of the opening side of the snail, with the animal withdrawn, and I'll ID it for you.
