Thanks for the reply, your sohal is a beast!!!!! Also love the purple. Its a 150 Gallon with caves all over. Both my purple and Sohal are small 3" or less. The sohal seems alot more at home now after a few days. They both keep flaring at each other, but I think your right more time should allow them to settle in. Its almost like at the end of this they might be friends, seeing how they always follow each other.

I have a sohal tang amongst many other tangs in my 220 they all play nice but the sohal is the most timid? I hear they are aggrissive but mine is the first to hide followed by my cross hatch triggers. The yellow tang and hippo tang ar by far the most aggrissive tangs and fish in the tank other then the stupid blue damsel.

It's interesting to hear how fish in different tanks, act totally different. Each fish personality is different. How big is your sohal?

I think its hit or miss... My purple and achilles duked it out for a month, They finally chilled out. However the Achilles think's hes boss of the tank and there are occasional flares with my purple. Im sure over time they will become accepting of each other, especially since you got them young.

Thanks for the compliments. Yes he is a HOSS of a fish. thick, fat and is the silent boss of the tank. then comes the newly added purple, then the I dont care about about anything just feed me Naso.

good to hear they are getting along better. time is the best thing. you will be fine. in my old 75, I had a purple then added a Powder brown. a few years later I added a Tomini. the brown and the Tomini fought for 2 weeks, then he let the purple finish for a few days. after that, they almost schooled together. always in the same areas and while there was a little infighting, it was all good for 2 years.

I sold them all and the brown split off to a different tank. he is now in a 300 with a few others. the purple and tomini are together in a 140 cube. I did maintain visitation rights with them!

    best of luck to ya.

Glad to hear it. in the 5 days the purple has been in, we are not seeing any fighting. he still wont go to the nori clip, but will take a piece away from the naso. Eats like a hog though and loves the flake.

thats the best thing about Tangs. usually they will eat just about anything you put in their face except your corals.
