Solar tube lighting

    Greetings from Australia! To overcome the rising cost of electricity and the expense of annually replacing halides I am looking at solar tubes. I have a four foot 400 liter reef tank. Can someone experienced in this technology tell me how many tubes and what diameter I should have? Queensland is the 'Sunshine State' currently in the grip of floods and loss of life....

    I have no actual experiance with the sun tubes but I know there are a few members here that worked in a shop that tried this method several years ago... the search function may help you find the threads, be sure to include text in the post :)

    Can't help with the tubes, but I like the idea! very interesting.. :)

    if I was a contractor I would totally do this......hide the tubes in a new wall extention created above my tank...i can see it...just cant afford to do it..lol
