IN order to thrive do coral need a complete lights out or will they be fine with moonlights?

I also have two different types of frogspawn a green and a purple, obviously from different colonies. If I put them next to each other is there a chance they would sting one another?

What is the likely hood of a non damsel fish or invert getting stung by sweepers?

Are there any sps that can be kept under t5 HOs?

    What excelent looking questions!

Unfortunetly I can only anwser like one, corals aren't adversely affected by moon lighs so long as it gets somewhat dark their just peachy, as most moonlights represent the natural moon in the ocean and they do just fine with that.

As for two frogspawn I'm not sure, I've seen them in seperate colonies and right next to One another and do just fine, but there can always be temperamental corals that want no touchie at all.

As for sweepers I assume you mean from the frogspawns? If so most fish avoid the sweepers as do inverts the frogspawn I have dosent bother my clown, firefish, or the Christmas wrasse so I'd say your fine the sweepers are often a result of the frogspawn is starving or it's pissed because someones messin with it.

I known nothing about Sps other than high light and often high flow.

Haha alright on the frogspawn end, I think my duncan also has sweepers. I just got the frogspawn yesterday so this is the second night I've had them and one colony is almost completely open while the other is less. I read it sometimes takes time for them to open fully. It does make sense as they were from two different tanks. The green one must have been closer to my lighting.

That brings up one more question. DO I need to feed each head in regards to my lps?

My tank is SPS dominant and I use only T5HO lighting.

The frogspawn should be fine next to each other. Corals of the same species can be kept next to each other.

On the feeding question it depends on the species. Some share because they are connected by tissue. If they are connected by tissue no otherwise yes.

It is possible with the sweepers but very unlikely.

SO what you are basically saying is what I already know. Which is pretty common sense; feed each colony.

It appears we are running the same amount of lighting except I have a smaller tank. SO as long as my flow is up I should be fine? Well besides all the minerals and what not I would need.

Duncan's don't have sweepers and are 1 if not the gentlest of LPS. Sps will grow and show some of their natural color under t5 but not as much as they would if they were under MH. Their requirements for certain water conditions is what makes them harder to keep. They are less forgiving of parameter changes and temp swings. I'm working on keeping 3 lil frags myself. So far so good :)
