Some quick questions

Yeah, good luck to me because I already have a a faucet filter. >_< No to the diamonds, cuz those only shut up women for so long. XD (kidding obviously)

 

Well, I agree with the diamonds....I think if you could show her some videos of some awesome tanks, that may help. i also saw a thread on here with some good advice, have the girlfriend help pick out some things or have her check out some videos and see what she finds is cool and try to incorporate that. Have her give input on where to put the tank and other aesthetic stuff. Just some thoughts.......

 

OFK: I've done exactly that, tried to get her interested in it, asked her what fish she likes, what looks nice to her. The problem is she's the type of girl that can squeeze a quarter out of a penny and sees this as an unnecessary expense. Which, at this point in the game it is for her. I'll have to see if i can keep persuading her to let me go ahead with it. lolz. Do so extra chores around the apt. (Not that i don't fix everything already)

 

Extra chores - always a plus + unfortunately, being frugal and this hobby are not compatible ....keep trying and I'm sure it will work out for you! I also just got to a point where I didn't tell my husband how much money I spent. It was better that he not know. I also found encouraging him in his hobby was a good thing - photography and that is not cheap! So now, he doesn't tell me how much he spends so we're good

But, we had a long talk, and she isn't completely against it, she's afraid of the cost. So, I told her as long as I kept to a budget, it shouldn't interfere with anything. So, once I get back to full time work (being laid off sucks!) I should be able to put away money and eventually get a tank started hopefully by xmas. Here's hoping anywho.
