Hey sparky, go on fosters and smith and pick up a bunch of those Top Crown Snails I got 24 from a local fish place and they are amazing cleaners I cannot believe how they have cleaned up my tank since my " disaster " last month. I had developed every kind of algae in all the colors brown green etc from all the nitrates and stuff in my tank from my dead loss. the snails are amazing my tank has NEVER looked this good. and that is the only new thing I am doing since I have reset everthing.

In fact on your long list of advice about algae I would add in cleaner crew importance since I have a big crew now I cannot believe the difference.I had made great strides when I followed all the rest of your advice but the good cleaner crew put me over the top. In my 120 I have 24 top crowns 24 turbos 2 small white urchins and 24 scarlet reef hermits and the place is pristine.

AMEN to the clean-up crew! I want some of those Top Crown snails too. I never imagined I would need this many in a 25 G, 12 Florida Ceriths, 25 Dwarf Ceriths, 15 Blue Legged Hermits, 12 Nassarius Vibex, 1 Conch of some sort, 2 Abalones (probably more, they multiply in tank) and 1 mexican turbo that I'm pretty sure hitch hiked his way in on the live rock as a teeny thing. Oh, and a lawnmower blenny that loves the long stuff...

You will have some die off as the food source starts to get consumed. Luna

Well, I received and installed my ground probe today. I'm disappointed in the design of this probe. The probe end is titanium, and the other end has the wire terminating in an eye ring; designed to accomodate the screw of the receptacle cover plate. If your electrical is done properly, this would be OK, but unfortunately, the center screw is not continous to ground 100% of the time.

    You can read more here.

I'm setting up a 185 soon so I'm sure some of them will be moving!

Put it under your ground screw on the fixture? Does a grounding probe actually rid your tank of stray current?

C'mon ReefSparky, just run a 14 awg from your panel or house copper plumbing to the outlet screw and check for continuity. I rewired my whole basement (no permito) when I had all the sheetrock off the walls and ceiling, so I know I got good ground. It's sometimes hard to please us guys who know how the stuff is reallly supposed to work, rather than just buying stuff on good reviews.
