    14? How's about a nice #8? :)

Seriously though, it's not the continuity so much, as the lousy bond you get with that eyelet/screw combination. It's just not right.

So then solder a connection from the (metal?) box or ground wire to a connection that you can confidently ground the ground probe wire to.
It doesn't have to look pretty as long as it works, and it will be behind your tank anyway.

Two cents worth I thought the same thing about the probe saving lives and the claim, then I decided it wasn't my life they were claiming to save but the fish! ;) Thats what the GFI was for.

    How are the corals?

I just sat and read this entire thead, and I got to tell you, what you went through would have put me on zanex! It was great to see your sense of humor through the whole ordeal. Please, continue to update both soap operas, the one about your tank and As The Reef Turns!

Hopefully the future is looking MUCH brighter!!!

Maybe so. The algae sure is slow to recede.

The corals are not quite as bad looking. The mushroom looks pretty well. The hammer is starting to fill out a bit. The frogspawn is very slowly coming along. The GSP and the yellow polyps are the same, unfortunately.

    Thanks, Jenn! :)

I've read that article before. Electricity is a fascinating subject, and not simple. While I'm not a physicist, or even an expert on electrical theory, my opinion is that the article is largely false, and based on premises that are just untrue. I think I know just enough to realize that the author had an agenda with that article. :-/

I noticed in this pic, the powerhead on the right is pointed up and the other one looks straight forward towards the center of the tank. Is there a reason why you pointed them that way? I think your circulation is just going up and not getting the bottom of the tank. I would put them either on the back wall pointing toward the front of the glass at an angle or even on the sides pointed towards the glass at an angle.
