Ok 2in10 you should be glad, I thought better of my patched 10g idea. Thinking back all screw ups in this hobby come from impatience.

Also the indiscriminate spending hasn't stopped yet. I got a new cpr overflow box!

It was easy to set up because I got the deluxe model, that comes with the dosing pump to prime it and keep it air free.

they can go over a 1.5inch (3.8 cm) lip.

If you get it I really recommend deluxe version. The different siphon shape means it carries more water then a traditional U tube. This means the speed the water travels through it is slower so bubbles are more likely to get trapped and possibly break siphon.

    Sounds ideal
so you never have problem of syphon break if pump switches of for power out and then comes back on later - the overflow will continue to operate and you wont pour the contents of your sump into the tank?

if thats the case, the delux does sound like a great idea

yes, as long as the dosing pump works there is no worry of a overflow.

however it's important that the outlet airline of the dosing pumps remains underwater incase the pump dose stop working so it wont let air back in.

    thanks.

    --------------------------------

in news I got a yellow coris wrasse.

in bad news all my zoas are partially closing, I will attempt to diagnose and treat this disease. I have ordered Coral RX incase its parasitic and furan-2 in case its zoapox(I don't believe it is).

well I got the furan 2 today, I dipped the colonies as if I was treating zoa pox.

I do think they looked a tiny bit better but that may just be in my mind.

I really looked closely at the colonies I can see no sign of parasites. The only odd thing I noticed was a few heads were shriveled and a very dark brown, this was one of the most recent additions. Although I can only speculate that it was the frag that infected my tank, it may just be looking in poor shape from shipping.

well the AOI frag is completely gone, didn't get to it in time. however everything else seems to be doing better, except for my captain america paly.

in other news I did some mods, to my cpr overflow box and octopus skimmer.
I raised the drain in the overflow to reduce noise. With the skimmer I replaced the surface skimmer with some drilled pvc.
