    sorry... I guess I shouldn't go off on other peoples musical tastes... but if the thread was just titled "collective soul" I would have just ignored it... but because I'm a HUGE fan of "SOUL" music, I clicked and was disappointed that I found a band that was started as a "studio band" and got signed before the band even played a single show together... sorry I just don't like corporate rock... but I realize that many people do.

    We're cool. I see you are a tad younger than me, a lot of great bands got their start as a studio band. Talent is talent, I like their message (Judeo-Christian) plus the "hard rock" edge. I like soul..Aretha, Barry White, Teddy Pendergrass, Otis Redding, to name a few and of course the "Godfather" of soul, James Brown.
