    i have tons of them started with 4 on the glass about a week ago should i remove them i have about 20 on the back glass and about 10 on my power head heard there filter feeders how much of a differance would they make (would they lower nitrates)

    I think there would really have to be tons of them to effect any water parameter

    3 year ago i had an out break of them in one of my tanks.now there are hundered or more of them. at time i would think that its about to expload with them again but they dont. i have seen them start on snails,coral,and my glass. weeks later their gone. i think they are good for the tank. its hard to tell if that tank run better becouse, they all run perfect. they sure havent hurt the tank. the first 10 years are experimental and, what works well in one tank might not be so for another. keep on reefing

    lol, i don't think that you will see a difference in nitrates.
