Well my MH fixture is ordered and on it's way! I got this one

I did a bit of research on Odyssea before I went ahead with it because I heard some bad things about it. It turns out the people that had bad experiences with it (which were very few to begin with) were the ones that did modifications to the unit, which I definitely won't be doing. I have 2 Odyssea products now that I am happy with (my skimmer and PC fixture...obvioulsy I won't be needing the PC fixture anymore).

So in anticipation of the fixture coming, I had some free time and went out and bought these guys ($15 each, not a bad deal, plus it was buy 3 get 1 free, so 4 frags for $45).

(In order of appearance) Montipora, Birds Nest, Pocillopora and Candy Cane

More people had problem with them due to being broken in shipping, missing bulbs, and defective units, then people that modified them, from all the ready I've done via vendors feedback forums over the last few years. Just my $.02

IMO, the best and easiest starter sps is either Acropora Bali Slimer, Montipora Digitata, or Acropora Millipora, followed by Acropora Rugosa. Just don't cut corners by purchasing these awesome corals only to have them brown out because you didn't provide adequate lighting, plus you would really be throwing your money away in doing so!
