i got my first hard coral today. I got a brown acro i think that is about 4-5 in. tall for $20. which isn't bad i thought. It's looking good so far. You guys said earlier in this thread that i could have brown types of sps in my tank w/ my lighting.

also i have a fluval canister filter w/ output of about 200 gph and a return pump for my fuge of 652 gph. do i really need any more pumps or powerheads for water movement. or is mine enought w/ just those.

Is the return pump's outlet to the tank split or tee'd off to more than one return?
i would say you are ok at the moment with flow but more wouldn't be a bad thing either.

The acro will probably be ok for now at the top of your tank.

If you have 700 gallons coming out of one outlet i might tee it off to two outlets and spread out the water flow. Just my opinion though

is that bad to have. my return lines are both going vertical should i add a powerhead to go horizontal to maybe create surges.
