    It is an odd growth pattern. Closets I can say is a M. setosa. Without better pics, it'll be hard to say for sure. Are you sure it is an SPS coral?

    M. setosa i would have to agree i am picking up a new frag this weekend tha thas the same growth pattern and color.

    no not 100% but thats where they put it in the store, with sps's. il try to get a better pic later today. the lights on a timer and i had to use the flash this morning on my phone to even get a pic where you could see it before i went into work.

    looks like a setosa with the growth pattern. bettre pic would help.

    If it's an SPS, I'd venture a guess of acropora pichoni.

    Especially considering Wet Thumb just got one; seems like everybody gets the same weird things about the same time.

    not so sure about the setosa idea...it has very tiny green polyps all over it. setosas seem to have the same color polyps. ones that ive seen anyway...

    M. setosa is at my LFS and would be possibly my next pic for SPS. It's really nice, pink, and stubby rather than pointy. Is this a easy coral to grow? I've had problems with my Stylophora Sp. (I think too much flow peeled away the polyps) So I don't want to lose another 30-50$ frag if I can't grow it :/

    I dont know about acropora pichoni, its rather smooth...... I'd say some type of monti. A better picture would be more definitive.
