When I made that water change it was done as any water change is done. I have a 32 gallon trash can and made my water in it put in a matching heater to achieve the same temparature and put in two small power heads together totaling 350 GPH and let it set for 24 hours. I tested both waters and they were so close it made no difference. So I do not see why a big water change was bad I have no fish. When I had fish I made my water the same way buy only about 20 to 25% every two weeks.....And the Iodine is in the water I use Instant Ocean right now but am cosidering a change after I read up on th eoverall affect it might have on corals. I might intrduce it during water change at 20 percent until it is all changed. THank you all for your time and I was just pickin about th etruck deal so no offense meant...sorry if you take me wrong...*peace*

    Hey Budd,
Are you going to have alot of different types of corals..?
I also use IO salt.. Which lacks alot of stuff corals need.. Calcium is one..
Mine was around 360 needs to be around 440..
I'm useing Kents Liquid Reactor to build mine up..
    BUT always test first......
Also do a search on .... Pickling Lime .....And a search on.. calcium ....
There's alot of info on getting and keeping your water set up right..
Do a test for iodine, some use it others don't..
I think it helps shrimp, etc molt.. shed..
I also read it helps Leathers shed.. The people at the LFS told me to use 1 drop a week in a 60 gal tank.. But I'll not do that till I get a test kit..
What kinds of corals you going to have..??

    Good Luck, Larry
