I recently purchased 2 star fish to help clean my sand and one little guy likes to climb up my glass. I have an open top tank, should I be worried about him climbing up and out of the tank?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
The Star Fish will not climb out of the tank.

Star Fish are inherently difficult to keep in newer tanks.

What types of Star Fish are they?

what size tank do you have? 3 sand sifting stars are WAYYY too much unless the tank is 250g plus.

If a Sand sifter climbs the glass it is usually a sign that it is starving and looking for food.IMO they do not fair very well long term in the aquarium.I would try to return them as they make a mess of the tank when they die and this usually occurs under the sand where you can't see them.Nassarius snails or fighting conch are much better choices IMO.
