i got a fromia star about a 6 months ago. he was very healthy and about 3 weeks ago i saw all the legs on the sand with no center to be found. im assuming my filefish found a liking to starfish. well his legs are still there and afew have moved. i do have a hand full of zebra hermits who shoulda been all over anything dead pplus in 3 weeks i would think they would have decayed. so mabe ill have afew stars now.

i know aslong as there is some of the mouth still with the legs they will regenerate.

    That's creepy cool.
I followed a thread on another forum where a person first freaked because they smashed a leg off of a brittle, then swore it was alive and finally made a thread on it's regeneration. They then cut it in 1/4's and logged the regeneration of 4 new brittle stars.
