Starfish?

    So i've noticed this bad boy in my tank running around and finally got a good pic on the glass and sand. looks to e a starfish, but im not certain. i just noticed tonight that there are more! and the barely have tenticles. are they actally starfish?

    looks like an astrina star. hope i spelt it right. lol. harmless also i believe.

    Asterina is the correct spelling. i think i'll remove them as i do not want them to eat my coralline algae.

    I have several and have never had any problems with them. Coraline growing like crazy. If they ate enough coraline I'd find a way to keep them on my front glass.

    they don't eat enough coraline to warrant removal. If you have coraline, it should be spreading a lot faster then they can eat it. I would vote to leave it in the tank.

    Why are they good to get rid of??

    I have about 6 of these guys (that I've seen thus far) and they haven't done any damage. Maybe I have something different though. Mine are blue on the top side.

    where are you in ny if your not to far id tske a ride and pick umm up if you wanna get rid of them :)
