I have many in my little 29. I noticed that they were eating the Green Star Polyps and dividing (reproducing) like crazy. I moved the GSP over to the 110 and started spearing the stars with a bamboo skewer. I finally got a harlequin shrimp and it loves them. It is soo cool to watch the harlequin "roll" in on them and rip them off of the glass, rock, or passing hermit crabs' shell. If you have them in epidemic proportions drop the $25 on a harlequin shrimp, you will be glad you did.

I have those little stars as well in my 29 gallon and they don't bother anything, sorta funny to see they get around really fast though for not having that many arms....lol

Mine comes out only around mid-night and is very small! About 1/4 inch. I thought my crab got his other two legs I had no idea they stayed like that. How big is your astrina star? If there is one are there alot more?
