Marine Velvet killed the aquarium so I need to start over. What is the best way to get the aquarium ready for new fish. I have removed the sand and rocks to dry out killing anything left from befote. I also now have a new Lion Fish in QT for a few weeks, so I have some time to rebuid.

I think you are already on it. Nuke the rock, get new sand and clean everything else with vinegar. You will née to re-seed the tank and let it cycle again

Right now the rock and sand are sitting gin a 100 degree day sun, will that be enough to kill everything on it. Before I did use live sand so not sure if that will be an issue this time. Was thinking of adding One & Only Live Nitrifying Bacteria this time to get it started. This is a fish only tank, no plants

In enough time it would. I assume this means outside though, where it could pick up other basteria. I hear vinegar is effective
